Get in the Christmas spirit with the Stokey Winter Festival!
A Winter Festival is coming to Stokey, with a free Santa’s Grotto, free Festive Jigsaw Trail, live music, panto stars walkabout and more.
The Stokey Winter Festival takes place on Saturday November 29th and is being organised by Stoke Newington Business Association. The festivities continue on Sunday 30th with the Xmas Xtravaganza at Everyday Sunshine. ​
The fun starts at 10am on November 29th at the Growing Communities Farmer's Market with a free craft workshop stall and The Morris Folk Choir at 11am.

Festive Jigsaw Trail - collect all the pieces and enter a prize draw for a festive hamper!​​​

Take part in the free Festive Jigsaw Trail! Pop in to local shops and businesses along the trail (from 29th Nov) to grab a Trail Map and collect the pieces of an iconic Stoke Newington design. Each business on the Trail has a different piece to give out. Collect all 20 pieces by 7th Dec to complete the jigsaw and you can enter a prize draw to win a festive hamper. Just email us a pic of you with your completed jigsaw by 7th Dec to enter the draw.

Santa's Grotto - Location Location - Sat 29th Nov (12 - 3pm)
Location Location is transforming into a sparkling Christmas Grotto! Meet Santa, share your festive wishes, and take home a special gift!
Grotto admission is free, with optional donation to Hackney Foodbank, but you need to book a slot here.
To make it even merrier, there’ll be mulled wine for the grown-ups, a Singing Santa and snacks for the little ones as you soak up the festive spirit. Location Location estate agency is at 18 Stoke Newington Church Street.

Giving Tree, Fire Engine and live music - The Fire Station (Church St.)
​
In the run up to the event, Output Arts will be working with local schoolchildren to create food-themed decorations for the Christmas tree outside the Fire Station. Sponsored by First Mile, the Giving Tree is supporting Hackney Foodbank - please bring along donations of non-perishable food. There will also be photo opportunities with our Winter Fest Insta Frame.
A fire engine will be out for the kids between 1pm and 4pm and there will be live music at 2pm with Phoenix - the Hackney u3a ukulele band for older people.

Tower Theatre Panto Stars Walkabout - Sat 29th 10am-12pm
​Between 10am and12pm, look out for the stars of this year's Tower Theatre pantomime, Rapunzel, as they make their way from the Farmers' Market to Santa's Grotto. Join Rapunzel, Prince Flynn, Dame Jojo Jangles and wicked sorceress Rubella as they march through the kingdom of Stokeyville - come and say hello, grab a selfie and get into the festive spirit!​​

Xmas Xtravaganza - Sunday 30th November 3 - 6pm - Everyday Sunshine​​

And the fun doesn’t stop there! On Sunday 30th November, Everyday Sunshine on Nevill Road is hosting its very special Xmas Xtravaganza, which is also collecting much-needed supplies for Hackney Foodbank. Please bring along donations of non-perishable food.
There’ll be live music from 3pm till 6pm, mulled wine, coffee and cake, sing-along carols and, rumour has it, a singing santa! Among those performing are Martians Don't Scare Me, Pearl & Zak, Kelli Blanchett and Hornsey Automatic.

More about the Stoke Newington Business Association

See you in Stokey is the brand of the Stoke Newington Business Association. It was set up by a group of local small business owners in 2022 following the pandemic and with the help of a High Street Recovery grant. The SNBA is on a mission to keep Stokey's vibrant community thriving.
Since then the association has grown to over 70 members and has:
